Aleksandra is an expert in countering disinformation and holds a PhD in political and administrative sciences. She has been part of the Demagog Association since March 2022, where she is responsible for implementing innovative educational projects within the Fact-checking Academy.
She specializes in media literacy and the development of training programs that help diverse audiences strengthen their critical thinking and information verification skills. She is the author of educational materials, including “From Emotions to Resilience Against Disinformation,” “How to Teach About Fake News at Universities,” and “Critical Thinking in a Nutshell.” As a trainer, she conducts practical fact-checking workshops for young people, teachers, representatives of non-governmental organizations, and businesses. She regularly shares her expertise at industry conferences in Poland and abroad.
Aleksandra graduated from the Faculty of Political Science and Journalism at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and works as an academic lecturer. She previously led a research grant funded by the National Science Centre on Polish development aid and has participated in numerous international research projects addressing global challenges. She is the author of the book “Polish and Ukrainian NGOs in Development Cooperation with Media in Ukraine” and has published academic articles in peer-reviewed journals such as Cambridge Review of International Affairs, Europe-Asia Studies, and Nationalities Papers.
She developed her expertise during research internships at Stockholm University and Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. She is also a scholarship holder of the International Visegrad Fund and the Adam Mickiewicz University Foundation. She values scientific precision and an interdisciplinary approach to addressing the challenges of disinformation.
