For 15 years, he was a man immersed in conspiracy theories. He was convinced that 9/11 was an inside job. He believed that Prince William’s son is the Antichrist. However, after years, he distanced himself from that world, and now he talks about what it’s like to live at the bottom of the rabbit hole. We are talking with Brent Lee, a former ‘conspiracy theorist,’ who shares his experiences with conspiracy theories and how they changed his world on the Demagog podcast.

Brent Lee — host of ‘Some Dare Call It Conspiracy’, a podcast that aims to deconstruct and demystify popular conspiracy theories. The conspiracy subculture is particularly close to his heart, having been a dedicated conspiracist himself for 15 years. In 2003, Brent Lee fell headlong down the rabbit hole through 9/11 conspiracy theories and was eventually consumed by what he describes as ‘cult-like ideology’. He only broke with conspiracy thinking in 2018. Today, Brent Lee is an advocate of critical thinking and encourages others to examine conspiracy theories with a sceptical eye
