Marcel has been involved with the Demagog Association, Poland’s first fact-checking organization, since 2016. Over the years, he has developed his expertise as a volunteer, analyst, coordinator, and communication and PR specialist. He currently serves as a Member of the Board and Communication and PR Director.

In this role, he plans and implements communication and strategic initiatives aimed at combating disinformation and promoting fact-based public debate. He is responsible for strengthening the organization’s credibility and building long-term relationships with external partners.

Marcel is also a mentor in the Fact-checking Academy, where he conducts workshops for seniors, students, companies, journalists, and other groups vulnerable to disinformation. He regularly delivers lectures, workshops, and training sessions in secondary schools and at conferences focused on media and cybersecurity. He is also a member of the International Disinformation Resilience Council operating under the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, an initiative bringing together public institutions and civil society to strengthen societal resilience through threat analysis, education, and policy recommendations.

He gained experience in digital marketing and communication while working at a marketing agency and in the content and communication department of a leading Polish betting company. He studied at the Faculty of Philology at the University of Silesia and the Faculty of Informatics and Communication at the University of Economics in Katowice, and completed postgraduate studies in online journalism at SWPS University.

Marcel specializes in digital communication, delivering high-quality verified content, and managing NGOs operating in the media sector. He has several years of experience in fact-checking, strategic planning, web writing, copywriting, digital marketing, and coordinating team activities.

He regularly participates in and speaks at conferences, panel discussions, and events dedicated to disinformation, sharing practical experience and expert knowledge on combating false information. Among others, he took part in Global Fact 11 in Sarajevo, the world’s largest fact-checking conference.
