Urszula joined the Demagog Association in 2018 as a volunteer. She initially worked on fact-checking analyses and later focused on addressing false information circulating on social media. Since 2020, she has served as the coordinator of the volunteer program and student internships, overseeing the first stage of the recruitment process. Within the editorial team, she coordinates the media scanning unit, supervises monitoring of public debate, and identifies politicians’ statements for verification.

As volunteer coordinator, she works to professionalize volunteering within the organization. Her approach helps protect newly involved individuals from burnout while enabling them to develop their interests and engage in meaningful activities. She is also a co-creator and coordinator of the Demagog internship program, ensuring that students follow a well-structured development path and gain valuable, substantive experience.

Urszula is also a mentor in the Fact-checking Academy, where she conducts workshops on disinformation and information verification for audiences of all ages. She specializes in working with seniors, introducing them to the issue of misinformation and tools for verifying information. As part of the project “Seniors Online,” implemented in cooperation with the Creative Initiatives Association “ę,” she has conducted numerous in-person and online workshops, including the series “Seniors Verify Local Government Elections.”

She graduated in political science from the Jagiellonian University. Her master’s thesis focused on civic organizations supporting democratic development in Poland, including the Demagog Association. During her studies, she completed internships at the Regional Centre for International Debate in Kraków and at the Kraków editorial office of Gazeta Wyborcza.
